Dance-pop band Nightbus tries out ‘three-way stereo’

An LA- and London-based band called Nightbus is trying something new, that they’re calling “three-way stereo.”

That’s two separate songs in two stereo channels, but together those channels make one song in your ears.

LA-based musician Jack Kennedy, one half of Nightbus (along with Hannah Melbourn of London) spoke to KCRW’s Steve Chiotakis.

Also joining the conversation is Steve Greenberg, head of the S-Curve Records label, who came up with the idea for “three-way stereo” with the help of his 14-year-old daughter.
