LA Vigil: Thousands gathered to remember and honor Orlando victims

More than 2,000 gathered on the steps of City Hall to mourn, and stand in solidarity with the victims of the mass shooting in Orlando over the weekend.

Lady Gaga helped read the names of the 49 people who were killed in the attack. “This is an attack on humanity itself,” she told the crowd, “this is an attack on everyone.”

“I just wanted to be a part of remembering what happened and hopefully be a part of trying to stop it from happening again,” Jim James, frontman for the band, My Morning Jacket told KCRW. “I just want to be a part of spreading the message of love and acceptance,” he said. “We can’t let hate divide us, we can’t let racism divide us, we can’t let homophobia divide us.”
