Dodgers will try to put post-season demons to rest

Vin Scully has left the booth, but the games go on. The Dodgers will take the field in the nation’s capital to start the division playoff series against the Washington Nationals.

The Dodgers have won their division four straight years, the first time they’ve pulled that off in team history.

But all that winning, hasn’t brought fans what they really crave – a World Series Championship!

Could this be the year?

Just maybe, says Mark Whicker, a columnist for the L.A. Daily News and Southern California News Group:

“The Dodgers are coming in probably a little bit better than they did the last three years when they went to the playoffs. I think their offense is deeper, I think their bullpen has been outstanding, and they’ve got the longest consecutive year playoff streak of any team,” Whicker says. ” They are going to be facing a very good pitcher in Max Scherzer in Game 1, and (the Dodgers) are going with Clayton Kershaw, so I think that game is going to determine a lot as to how this series goes.”
